Based at our Coffin Factory in Nottinghamshire, we are recruiting Factory Operatives to join our dedicated team. This role offers a great opportunity to learn new skills.

You will be responsible for completing production processes to meet high standards of quality and performance while adhering to health & safety regulations.

Your tasks will include using your knowledge of our products and processes to produce coffins, working to meet daily targets, and following standard operating procedures.

You will become multiskilled to cover for absent colleagues and be enthusiastic about training on all factory processes, including external training if necessary.

As a cooperative team member, you will promote positive working relationships with colleagues and third parties, and help promote our Coffin Factory within the local community.

You will also ensure machinery and premises are kept clean and tidy, and perform any other duties as required.

How will I know if I am right for this role?

Ideally, you will have previous factory experience and be flexible with working hours.

Experience in timber processes is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.

This fast-paced role requires dedication, enthusiasm, strong organization, and communication skills. You should be customer-focused and a good team player, working towards both individual and team targets.

If you are eager to learn new skills and want to be part of a warm and welcoming team, we want to hear from you.

What’s in it for me?

Along with a competitive salary, benefits include:

  • Up to 20% colleague discount on products
  • Access to exclusive retail discounts, holiday discounts, and savings on days out
  • Option to buy additional holiday leave
  • Recognition programs for personal and professional achievements
  • Enhanced family-friendly policies
  • Profit sharing for eligible colleagues
  • Paid volunteering days
  • Support for charities through 'Give as you earn'
  • Healthcare Cashplan for medical expenses
  • Company pension scheme with employer contributions
