Job summary

MacGregor Black is partnering with a leading FMCG business to recruit a Factory Manager for a permanent role in Somerset. You will take ownership of the full manufacturing site, drive performance and lead a multi-disciplinary team to achieve safety, quality and production targets.

The role requires strong leadership, deep experience in food manufacturing, and a track record of delivering lean improvements and managing site KPIs and budgets.

Responsibilities

MacGregor Black are partnering with a Leading FMCG Business on the search for a Factory Manager. This is a permanent role based in Somerset.

Key Responsibilities:

• Taking full accountability for day-to-day factory operations, including production, engineering and site performance.
• Leading, developing and motivating a multi-disciplinary team to deliver against production, quality and safety targets.
• Driving continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce waste and control costs.
• Ensuring compliance with health & safety, food safety and quality standards across the site.
• Managing budgets, KPIs and reporting, and acting as the key point of contact for site performance.

What We're Looking For:

• Proven experience as a Factory Manager or Operations Manager within a food manufacturing environment.
• Strong leadership skills, with a track record of managing and developing large teams.
• Solid understanding of lean manufacturing, continuous improvement and site KPIs.
• Working knowledge of HACCP, food safety and health & safety legislation.
• Confident communicator with strong commercial and budgetary awareness.
