Job description

Factory Maintenance Engineer - Multi-skilled

    • Company: A well-established Engineering and Manufacturing Company
    • Location: St Neots area - (own transport required due to location )
    • Job Type: Permanent, immediate start available and no call outs
    • Salary: Up to GBP18.50 per hour, Overtime: GBP27.75 per hour (time and a half) - depending on experience
    • Hours: 39 hours per week, with a 12.00 mid-day finish on Fridays
    • Free on-site car parking

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer with a strong mechanical bias to coverall all site maintenance and repair, including machine maintenance and breakdowns.

Duties:

    • The Factory Maintenance Engineer will conduct general site maintenance to ensure smooth and continuous operations.
    • While both mechanical and electrical skills are required, this role will primarily focus on mechanical tasks.
    • Address and resolve breakdowns promptly to minimise downtime.
    • Maintain and service various on-site machinery, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
    • Perform electrical works and plumbing tasks around the site.

Qualifications and Skills:

    • Previous experience in a similar role within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
    • Knowledge in machinery maintenance and repair.
    • Proficiency in electrical maintenance and installation.
    • Competent in plumbing repairs.
    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.

Working Hours:

    • Monday: 7:30 am- 4:00 pm
    • Tuesday: 7:30 am - 4:30 pm
    • Wednesday & Thursday: 7:30 am - 5:00 pm
    • Friday: 7:30 am - 12:00 noon (unless working overtime)
