Job description
Overview

We are looking for: A Line Leader for our processing factory to take responsibility for both staff and equipment within the factory, ensuring the daily production plan is achieved.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and organise the team of staff in designated area, ensuring they follow all dress, hygiene and work procedures.
  • Ensure all staff work effectively, efficiently and follow all health & safety rules asset out by the company.
  • Blow, trim, peel and pack onions and other products.
  • Ensure packaging is not damaged and meets quality standards.
  • Ensure that product is produced to customer specification and legal requirements.
  • Assist Management to meet and maintain the requirements of the BRC standard.
  • Adhere to procedure for safe usage of knives.
  • Complete computer work related to production orders.
  • Operate and enforce a clean as you go policy.
  • Report any issues with machinery, product quality or packaging issues to your immediate Supervisor.
  • Ensure any visitor entering the work area has followed the correct entry procedure and is suitably dressed for that area and ask them to leave the area if they have not complied with the procedure.
  • Ensure you follow procedures for safe cleaning.
