Job summary

Reflect Recruitment Group is assisting a specialist manufacturer in Spalding to hire a Health, Safety & Compliance Officer. This hands-on role covers health, safety, environmental and quality management, with ownership of day-to-day compliance on the factory floor.

The ideal candidate will hold a NEBOSH certificate, have manufacturing experience, be comfortable with ISO management systems, risk assessments and staff training, and be adept at driving practical improvements.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH National General Certificate or higher NEBOSH qualification.
• Hands-on health and safety experience in manufacturing or similar industrial environment.
• Experience maintaining ISO management systems and coordinating audits.
• Strong risk assessment, safe systems of work, workplace inspections and training exposure.
• Excellent communication, organisational skills and ability to implement actions.
• Confident with Microsoft 365 and digital records.

Responsibilities

• Lead risk assessments and implement effective controls on the factory floor.
• Inspect operating areas to spot risks and promote safe working practices.
• Deliver inductions, toolbox talks and practical health and safety training.
• Own integrated management systems: ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
• Coordinate internal audits and support external certification processes.
• Support environmental compliance and FSC requirements, inspections and equipment safety.
• Investigate incidents and manage contractor safety to prevent recurrence.
• Drive continuous improvement by making compliance practical in daily operations.
