Job summary

ABB in Coleshill, UK is seeking a Finance Leader to drive financial performance at the factory/site and partner with senior leadership. You will lead financial processes, analyze data, and recommend solutions to improve performance.

You will manage a small team, own the planning/forecasting processes, and ensure strong controls in line with ABB policies. Onsite work at the Coleshill site is required with close collaboration to the leadership team.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a Financial Leadership role in manufacturing/operations.
• Enhanced knowledge of SAP and ERP system changes/implementation.
• Strong financial reporting, analysis and business partnering skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership capabilities.
• Relevant professional qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to defining the finance strategy for the factory/site.
• Partner with the Factory Manager to determine strategy and develop a global business model.
• Translate finance strategy into business plans with measurable targets; oversee planning/forecasting.

This position reports to:

Business Controller

In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead financial processes and transactions to optimize financial performance within the factory/site. Each day, you will support effective business decisions by monitoring, analyzing, and interpreting financial data to evaluate various business alternatives. You will also showcase your expertise by recommending the most appropriate business solutions.

You will lead a small team and work closely with the Leadership Team in ABB's Coleshill, UK manufacturing site, helping to ensure that both individual and business objectives are delivered and deliver high class Financial Data to the team to support key decision making.

Your Role and Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll help run what runs the world, by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact.

• Contributing to the definition of the finance strategy for your respective factory/manufacturing site.
• Serving as the key partner to the Factory Manager in determining strategy for your own area of responsibility and developing a global business model, aligning with wider strategy, implementing them, and adjusting, as needed.
• Translating the finance strategy into business plans and establishing measurable targets and overseeing the business planning and forecasting process for your area of responsibility.
• Ensuring robust Business Controls are in place, regularly reviewed and tested and in line with group policies/procedures.

Qualifications for the Role

• You are highly skilled in delivering high class Financial Analysis, converting complex data into meaningful metrics.
• You enjoy working in the manufacturing industry.
• You have 3+ years of experience in a Financial Leadership role, in manufacturing/operations and have excellent leadership skills.
• Possess an enhanced knowledge of SAP, and preferably have experience of, and played a key role in ERP system changes/implementation.
• You are passionate about Manufacturing, and delivering best in class financial reporting to the Factory Leadership Teams and other Senior Management
• Possess excellent communication skills
• Preferably hold a recognized Financial Qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or be able to demonstrate extensive experience in profession
