ABB in Coleshill, UK, is seeking a Financial Leader to run financial processes for the site. You will lead a small team, partner with the Factory Manager, and help shape the finance strategy to drive performance and value.

You will translate strategy into plans, oversee budgeting and forecasting, ensure robust controls, and deliver clear management reporting to senior leadership. The role requires SAP expertise and a recognised financial qualification.

• 3+ years of experience in a Financial Leadership role within manufacturing/operations.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Enhanced knowledge of SAP; experience with ERP system changes/implementation.
• Excellent communication and finance reporting to senior management.
• A recognized financial qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or equivalent experience.

This position reports to:

Business Controller

In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead financial processes and transactions to optimize financial performance within the factory/site. Each day, you will support effective business decisions by monitoring, analyzing, and interpreting financial data to evaluate various business alternatives. You will also showcase your expertise by recommending the most appropriate business solutions.

Your Role And Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll help run what runs the world, by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact.

• Contributing to the definition of the finance strategy for your respective factory/manufacturing site.
• Serving as the key partner to the Factory Manager in determining strategy for your own area of responsibility and developing a global business model, aligning with wider strategy, implementing them, and adjusting, as needed.
• Translating the finance strategy into business plans and establishing measurable targets and overseeing the business planning and forecasting process for your area of responsibility.
• Ensuring robust Business Controls are in place, regularly reviewed and tested and in line with group policies/procedures.

Qualifications For The Role

• You are highly skilled in delivering high class Financial Analysis, converting complex data into meaningful metrics.
• You enjoy working in the manufacturing industry.
• You have 3+ years of experience in a Financial Leadership role, in manufacturing/operations and have excellent leadership skills.
• Possess an enhanced knowledge of SAP, and preferably have experience of, and played a key role in ERP system changes/implementation.
• You are passionate about Manufacturing, and delivering best in class financial reporting to the Factory Leadership Teams and other Senior Management
• Possess excellent communication skills
• Preferably hold a recognized Financial Qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or be able to demonstrate extensive experience in profession
