Job summary

The City of Edinburgh Council is seeking a Facilities Technician to join Hillwood Primary School in Edinburgh. The role covers day-to-day janitorial and DIY operations, general maintenance, reactive cleaning, and basic security tasks across school buildings.

Part-time hours (12 per week) with a pro-rata salary of £27,257-£29,850. You will help maintain equipment and premises, support events, and contribute to a safe and efficient facilities service in line with council policies and PVG scheme

Qualifications

• Experience in facilities maintenance or janitorial tasks.
• Ability to perform minor repairs and general cleaning.
• Willingness to undergo PVG scheme checks.

Responsibilities

• Carry out day-to-day janitorial and DIY tasks across one or more buildings.
• Perform minor repairs and basic maintenance as required.
• Support moves, cleaning and basic security duties within the site.
