Job summary

James Gillespie's High School is seeking a Facilities Technician on a fixed-term basis until 28 February 2027. Salary ranges £27,257 to £29,850 for a 36-hour week, with a 3-week rota covering early, day and late shifts.

Working as part of the City of Edinburgh Council, you will deliver FM, janitorial and basic DIY tasks across school buildings, ensuring safe places to learn and work. PVG checks apply and there may be progression to supervisory roles.

• Day-to-day FM, janitorial and DIY operations across one or more buildings.
• Maintenance of equipment, furniture and fittings.
• Security of premises and grounds.
