Job summary

City of Edinburgh Council is seeking a Facilities Technician for a fixed-term post until 31 March 2027. The role involves delivering janitorial and facilities management support across council premises in Edinburgh, with flexible hours and inclusion in a secure employment package.

You’ll work part-time (15 hours per week) with opportunities for progression and a strong pension/benefits package. Location is Gilmerton Community Centre and surrounding properties, with PVG checks where required.

Responsibilities

• Day to day FM, janitorial and DIY operations across one or more buildings.
• Equipment and furniture and fitting maintenance.
• Building maintenance and services.
• Security of premises and grounds.
• Grounds maintenance and cleaning / tidying.
