Facilities Technician - London £28-£30k

We are looking for a professional, presentable and intelligent person to start work as a facilities technician working within a corporate environment in the City of London.
This is a dual role where you will be responsible for the mail room distribution and the first response maintenance of the interior of the building.

The hours are 8.00am-5.00pm, Monday to Friday and this is a permanent position.
Day to Day Duties
- Mail Processing and Distribution
- Process and distribute incoming mail, including sorting, scanning, and delivery to departmental trays.
- Manage outgoing mail operations, including printing and preparing welcome letters and client statements.
- Handle courier services for same-day, overnight, and international deliveries.
- Operate and maintain Royal Mail Online Business Account (OBA) for postal services.
- Register and track incoming parcels, maintaining accurate signature records and notifying recipients.
- Facilities Support
- Coordinate meeting room setup and preparation according to specific requirements.
- Manage and maintain the locker system.
- Perform basic maintenance tasks (examples include changing light bulbs, addressing minor leaks, or resolving blocked toilets).
- Support external contractors on site.
- Liaise with Building Maintenance for issues.
- Raise work permits for contractors.
- Maintain maintenance logs.
- Support office moves and changes.
- Inventory Management
- Process and monitor weekly stationery orders, maintain organized supply cupboards, and track inventory levels to ensure continuous supply.
- Manage specialized printing supplies, including statement paper, headed paper, and envelopes.
- Monitor and replenish printer paper stocks across facilities.
- Health and Safety Support
- Sign up interested staff members for first aid training courses and maintain training records.
- Conduct regular inspections of first aid boxes, check expiration dates, replace expired items, and maintain appropriate stock levels by ordering necessary supplies.
- Monitor and document defibrillator maintenance checks.
- Support the maintenance of first aid certification records.
- Environmental and Compliance
- Coordinate confidential waste collection and disposal.
