Join Birmingham Airport’s Terminal Infrastructure Team as a Facilities Maintenance Technician and play a key role in maintaining and improving the airport’s extensive infrastructure. This role involves pre-planned, remedial, and reactive maintenance to ensure the smooth operation of terminal facilities and associated buildings, enhancing the passenger experience and airport aesthetics. Core Duties

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across terminal and airport facilities, including building fabric, fire doors, painting, flooring, and general carpentry.
• Ensure the availability, good order, and aesthetics of airport assets to improve the passenger journey.
• Use Birmingham Airport’s asset management software to update maintenance records and ensure compliance.
• Identify efficiency and sustainability opportunities within airport facilities infrastructure.
• Supervise and escort external contractors, ensuring work is completed to required standards.
• Promote a strong health and safety culture, ensuring all works comply with relevant regulations and best practices.

Experience Required

• Recognised qualifications in facilities maintenance, carpentry, or related trade.
• Experience in building maintenance, repairs, and general facilities infrastructure.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, and email for reporting and communication.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible approach, with a willingness to receive training and stay updated on new technologies.
