Overview

VANRATH are delighted to be assisting a highly reputable client with the recruitment of a Technical Facilities Manager to join a fantastic company who are very staff centric and have a dynamic team at their Bangor Office.

Facilities Technical Manager
Location: Northern & Southern Ireland
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Reports To: Operations Director
Salary: Competitive (DOE)

Responsibilities
  • Manage and support mobile engineering teams across multiple sites.
  • Act as the primary contact for client estates and facilities teams.
  • Ensure compliance with BS EN 12101 and health & safety standards.
  • Oversee planned maintenance schedules and emergency call-outs.
  • Conduct site audits, service reporting, and performance reviews.
  • Assist with quoting, remedial works, and system upgrades.
  • Collaborate with Projects and Sales teams on client retention and growth.
  • Stay current with fire safety regulations and industry standards.
Requirements
  • Background in facilities management, engineering supervision, or building services.
  • Strong understanding of smoke ventilation, fire safety, or M&E systems.
  • Proven leadership and team coordination experience.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and schematics.
  • Qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering (HNC/HND or equivalent).
  • Familiarity with CAFM and digital reporting tools.
  • Full UK/ROI driving licence and flexibility to travel across Ireland.
