Job summary

Soho House is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure daily upkeep, safety, and efficient operation of the club’s facilities. You will respond to maintenance requests promptly and perform preventative maintenance while collaborating with operations and housekeeping teams to uphold high standards across the property.

The role demands reliability, a service-minded approach, and the ability to work at a busy high-profile venue.

Qualifications

Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in a maintenance or building services role within hospitality, retail, or facilities management
Hands-on experience with basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry work
Familiarity with building systems and preventative maintenance protocols
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Knowledge of relevant health & safety legislation and standards
Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work under minimal supervision
Good communication and record-keeping skills
Flexible to work weekends or evenings as needed and be on-call for emergencies

Responsibilities

Carry out general repairs and preventative maintenance on plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and structural systems.
Conduct daily inspections of key areas, ensuring systems are operating efficiently and safely.
Respond promptly to maintenance-related tickets and member or staff requests.
Maintain detailed records of repairs, servicing, and scheduled maintenance.
Monitor heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), lighting, and water systems for proper operation.
Ensure all tools, materials, and areas are kept tidy, secure, and compliant with safety regulations.
Assist in setting up and supporting events from a technical or facilities standpoint.
Liaise with external contractors when required and ensure works are completed to standard.
Report hazards, safety issues, or maintenance concerns to the Facilities or Operations Manager.
Support emergency response procedures (e.g. power failures, flooding, fire systems).
