Job Summary

Drive a company vehicle from store to store to maintain and perform minor repairs on HVAC systems. Act as a handyman for minor store repairs, plumbing, and electrical issues.

Help maintain the Facilities Warehouse.

Attend and participate in facility meetings.

Be available to assist the field in emergency situations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Drives from one location to another throughout Jack's footprint.
  • Manages truck inventory and maintains the company vehicle.
  • Repairs facility issues in stores as directed by the Facilities Manager.
  • Files and maintains paperwork for inventory, pay card, credit card, and PM compliance.
  • Performs inspections of equipment for operations via the Yoobic App or applicable tracking platforms.
  • Occasionally works in the office as office tech as needed.
  • Participates in team-building activities and continued education training.
  • Represents Jack's in a professional manner.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Maintains HVAC and plumbing needs – rooftop units (RTUs), restroom.
  • Maintains electrical systems.
  • Maintains the interior and exterior of the building.
  • Performs preventative maintenance checks requiring technical knowledge.
  • Performs administrative duties utilizing the Quick Base system.
  • Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned by the Facility Manager.
  • Protects company assets.
  • Handles emergencies.
  • Maintains inventory accountability.
  • Maintains security.
  • Upholds company policy and procedures.
  • Maintains the interior of the building - flooring, plumbing, paint, patch, and miscellaneous repairs.
  • Maintains the exterior of the building, sidewalk maintenance, parking lot maintenance, painting, lighting.
  • Replaces filters and light bulbs as requested.
  • Maintains lighting and plumbing equipment - light bulbs, sinks, faucets, etc.
  • Performs PM checks as assigned.
  • Identifies opportunities to impact energy consumption.
  • Adheres to facility dress code (uniform shirts provided).

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:

  • GED or equivalent.
  • Frequent bending, twisting, walking, reaching, lifting up to 50 pounds; walks and stands the entire shift on tile floor.
  • Administrative skills.
  • Interacts verbally with customers and employees in a professional and friendly way.
  • Ability to take and give direction.
  • Good personal hygiene.
  • Punctuality.
  • High energy level.
  • High tolerance for stress.
  • Self-directness.
  • Ability to follow a system.
  • Ability to make decisions.
  • Safely climbing and working on top of a ladder up to 24 feet off the ground.
  • Ability to maintain and operate power tools from small to large equipment.

  • Basic knowledge of computers and other technical equipment.
  • Ability to work in and outside environments that could include extreme heat, cold, rain, snow, and other harsh conditions.

Skill/Experience Requirements

Candidate must be proficient in 3 or more areas of the following:

  • Knowledge of HVAC and plumbing.
  • Knowledge of lighting, power systems, and energy consumption.
  • Knowledge of communication systems.
  • Knowledge of basic interior and exterior building maintenance.
