Job summary

Amey is offering a permanent Facilities Team Leader position at HMP/YOI New Hall in Flockton, Wakefield. You will lead facilities management services, ensure health and safety compliance, and supervise teams across the prison estate to deliver secure and efficient operations.

The role requires strong leadership, organisational skills, experience in facilities or estates management, and familiarity with CAFM systems; IOSH or equivalent health and safety training is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the delivery of facilities management services, ensuring compliance with contractual and operational requirements.
• Promote a strong health, safety and compliance culture, ensuring best practice is followed at all times.
• Supervise and motivate teams to deliver high-quality services across the prison estate.
• Build effective working relationships with HMPPS stakeholders, managing expectations and ensuring service excellence.
• Monitor performance, identify issues early and drive prompt resolution through effective communication and leadership.
• Contribute to the smooth, safe and efficient operation of a critical justice facility.

£35,143 - £41,341 per annum

39 hours per week

Shift Pattern: Monday to Thursday 08:00 - 17:00, Friday to Sunday 08:00 - 16:00. Working 1 in 3 weekends on a rota basis, with an additional 15% allowance on basic salary.
