This post is part of the Facilities & Estates Service that Dorset Healthcare may transfer to an NHS wholly owned subsidiary from November 2025 or later. This is an exciting opportunity to join a developing and expanding organization committed to NHS values and patient care. The NHS wholly owned subsidiary will continue to offer NHS Agenda for Change Terms and Conditions, including NHS pensions, to staff who transfer and new recruits.

Employment in this role requires a Standard Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover. Applicants subscribed to the DBS update service can present a valid DBS certificate instead of a new check.

This multitasking role involves cleaning duties and supporting ad-hoc porter and catering duties. Our facilities team members are vital to hospital operations.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Providing effective cleaning services across the hospital, including emptying bins, cleaning toilets, clinic spaces, corridors, and stairwells to meet NHS cleanliness standards.
  2. Providing portering services, including the safe movement and storage of deliveries and equipment, routine health and safety tasks, and supporting team activities.
  3. Supporting catering services, including assisting with the production of sandwiches and salads and delivering patient food.

Please note, visa sponsorship is not available. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK without sponsorship.

Recommend a friend or family member and earn a cash reward. If your referral is appointed and completes probation, you will receive £500. Contact the recruitment team for more details.
