A leading healthcare provider in Dorchester is seeking a Facilities Support Worker to join their Facilities Team. This part-time role involves cleaning, portering, and providing catering services. With a total of 11 hours per week, including weekends, the position comes with flexible hours and an opportunity for additional shifts. An opportunity has arisen at Forston Clinic to join the Facilities Team as a Facilities Support Worker, with an emphasis on cleaning and portering.
Applicants should be enthusiastic, motivated, and able to work as part of a team and independently.
This position is for 11 hours per week, including alternate weekends with pay enhancements. There is potential for additional hours to cover leave and sickness.

This post is part of the Facilities & Estates Service that Dorset Healthcare may transfer to an NHS wholly owned subsidiary from November 2025 or later. This multi-tasking role involves cleaning, catering, and porter activities over two days per week: porter cover on Mondays and Fridays, and domestic duties on weekends, with enhancements paid.
Our facilities team plays a vital role in hospital operations.
Cleaning: Provide effective, patient-focused cleaning and domestic services to meet NHS standards, including cleaning bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and communal areas, especially on mental health wards.
Portering: Safely move and store deliveries and equipment, perform routine safety tasks, and support team activities.
Catering: Assist in delivering catering services, including food production and delivery, ensuring a clean and hygienic environment.
Employment requires a DBS check, which the Trust will cover. Applicants in need of Skilled Worker sponsorship are ineligible.
