Are you an experienced Facilities Manager?
Do you have previous engineering experience?

TXM Recruit is working in partnership with a high-profile railway client seeking a Facilities Manager to join their team in Cambridge or Colchester on a 3-month contract, paying £230 per day (PAYE) or £305.44 (umbrella rate).

Key Accountabilities:
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the facilities management helpdesk and term maintenance contractors.
  • Manage Property contracts, ensuring compliance with technical, environmental, and safety standards, prioritizing customer service.
  • Adhere to the ISO 55001 Asset Management System & Annual Accreditations Standard.
  • Maintain mechanical, electrical, and fabric elements of the estate in compliance with policies, regulations, and procedures through contract management.
  • Identify faults and audit stations on-site.
  • Ensure effective facilities contract administration within the company’s asset management reporting system.
  • Project manage small projects from start to finish, updating stakeholders.
  • Support the Asset Management team in trend analysis and asset maintenance policy optimization.
Requirements:
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Commercial and financial understanding.
  • Knowledge of contract management.
  • Understanding of safety regulations (particularly CDM).
  • A degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Understanding of rail industry issues related to construction.
  • Membership in a property professional body (BIFM or RICS) or working towards it.
  • Basic knowledge of building management.
  • Full Driving Licence.
  • NEBOSH health and safety qualification (preferred).
