About the Role

Please ensure you are able to work the following hours:

  • 9 hours per day 16:00 - 01:00 - 35 weeks of the year
  • 7 hours per day 16:00 - 23:00 - 8 weeks of the year (during the holiday period)
  • 4 hours per day 15:00 - 19:00 - 7 weeks of the year (during the holiday period)

The Facilities Supervisor will initially be based at Leeds Conservatoire Campus but may later relocate to gain experience managing other group buildings. Campus Facilities serves as the link between curriculum and Estates, coordinating planned and reactive works for Property and Maintenance. The team ensures proper scheduling, consultation, and adherence to procedures during maintenance activities. They also oversee contracts for services like cleaning, security, printing, hygiene, and waste management.

What You Will Do
  • Line manage a team of Facilities Assistants and Security staff, as well as a range of contractors including cleaning, security, maintenance, and soft services.
  • You will act as the main point of contact for users.
  • Manage jobs using a computerised customer relationship system (CRM) to ensure jobs are tracked and completed.
  • Ensure a safe working environment for all employees and stakeholders.
  • Work closely with the Health & Safety Advisor to ensure all external service providers operate to safe systems of working (SSOW) in full compliance with statutory and Group requirements.
About You
  • You must have previous supervisory experience in a customer service environment, including responsibility for opening and locking up buildings and building security.
  • You must either have or be working towards a level 4 qualification in a facilities or maintenance area.
  • Must have knowledge of building management and equipment loan systems.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage different stakeholders.
