General Supervisor (Facilities Supervisor)
Location: HMP Winchester, Romsey Rd, Winchester, SO22 5DF
Salary: £34,931.68 per annum
Contract: Permanent, full-time, 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday, on-site
We are seeking an experienced and driven Soft Services Team Leader or a time-served Facilities Administrator ready for their next step to join our team at HMP Winchester, a men's prison and young offender institution (YOI), as a General Supervisor.

HMP Winchester operates like a self-contained city, requiring hundreds of staff to keep it functioning. As part of the Facilities Maintenance Team, you will contribute to the smooth and safe operation, impacting prisoners, staff, visitors, and the wider community.
As a General Supervisor, you will work alongside experienced colleagues including Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenters, Painters, Cleaners, and Administrators, all dedicated to maintaining a safe environment.
You will oversee a team of soft services employees such as Cleaners and Escorts, manage Sub-Contractor access and induction for temporary works, and report to the Site Manager alongside the Electrical and Mechanical Supervisor to ensure compliance, safety, and employee well-being.
