Job summary

Medirest, part of Compass Group UK&I, is seeking a Facilities Supervisor to support healthcare operations in Watford. This full-time role (37.5 hours per week) focuses on supervising a frontline team, stock management, rota planning, and maintaining high standards of safety and hygiene.

You will contribute to a supportive team culture, ensuring excellent customer service and smooth daily operations, with opportunities for progression and a robust benefits package.

Qualifications

• Previous experience supervising frontline teams within a similar environment.
• Good communication skills with a focus on great Customer Service.
• Team player and can-do attitude.
• Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Oversee deliveries and ensure correct storage.
• Supervise a team and foster a welcoming, supportive environment.
• Serve as a responsible key holder for the site.
• Assist with weekly bookwork and other duties as needed.
• Create weekly rotas following manager guidelines.
• Place stock orders to maintain levels.
• Delegate tasks and ensure proactive team performance.
• Adhere to Food Handling & Hygiene standards.
• Comply with Health & Safety regulations.

We're currently recruiting a dedicated Facilities Supervisor to help ensure the smooth running of the operations in Healthcare on a full time basis, contracted to 37.5 hours per week.

Your Key Responsibilities May Include

• Ensuring all deliveries are checked and stored promptly and correctly
• Supervising a team, creating a positive environment where the team feel welcomed and supported
• Being a responsible key holder
• Assisting with weekly bookwork and any other duties that are necessary
• Producing weekly rotas following the manager's guidelines
• Placing orders for stock to maintain the correct stock levels
• Delegating where necessary and ensuring the team are proactive at all times
• Complying with Food Handling & Hygiene standards
• Complying with Health & Safety regulations
