Work schedule: Working 37.5 hours per week on a 6-week rota, covering between 6am and 10pm.

Job responsibilities
  • Delivering the Service - On a daily basis, Supervisors will be required to identify and respond to user needs and to solve problems/complaints as they arise, actively seeking constructive feedback on service provision.
  • Train, monitor, and supervise facilities staff in all elements of their role.
  • Supervise the handling of clinical waste generated by the estate.
  • Work with staff teams and carry out domestic and housekeeping duties to cover service needs.
  • Have the knowledge and technical ability to undertake and teach staff the skills necessary for service delivery.
  • Support the Trust’s Health and Safety Policy, ensuring staff are trained to ensure safety of staff, visitors, and patients.
  • Monitor service areas to ensure standards are met in line with National Cleaning Standards, taking remedial action as needed.
  • Monitor ward-level catering services to ensure compliance with food safety legislation and policies, supporting reduction in food wastage.
  • Support Team Leaders in maintaining equipment standards and informing stock requirements.
  • Investigate and report untoward incidents and accidents using Datix.
  • Manage absence monitoring, return-to-work interviews, and inform Team Leaders of employee status.
  • Check and countersign clock cards weekly and manage annual leave requests.
