Position Summary

We seek a facilities supervisor to oversee building and maintenance operations based at our Crewe site. The role is critical to ensuring that the site remains fully operational, compliant, and conducive to a high-performing work environment. You will manage a variety of services, including health and safety, building infrastructure, third-party vendors, maintenance contracts, and space planning.

Primary Responsibilities

Supervision and Management

Direct and supervise the facilities team and related embedded contractors, ensuring they have the resources and training to perform their duties effectively.

Manage vendor contracts and relationships, oversee contractors' work, and ensure contract compliance, quality of work, and timely completion of planned maintenance and/or small projects for hard and soft services.

Facilities Maintenance and Operations

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the facilities, ensuring efficiency, safety, and compliance.

Lead and coordinate all planned and reactive maintenance activities, including HVAC, lighting, plumbing, security, and fire safety systems.

Assist in managing the facility's budget, tracking expenditures, obtaining quotes for materials and/or services and identifying cost-saving opportunities.

Health, Safety, and Environment

Ensure facilities comply with relevant regulations, standards, and health and safety requirements, as required by UK legislation and company policies.

Promote and implement environmentally sustainable practices within the facility, such as energy efficiency measures.

Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and audits as required.

Project Management and Planning

Manage and coordinate various small projects, including renovations, refurbishments, and new installations, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget if required.

Other Responsibilities

Coordinate office moves, space planning, and layout changes to meet business needs.

Oversee sustainability initiatives and energy efficiency improvements.

Respond to emergencies and urgent issues outside of regular working hours when required.

Respect the value of information by following Likewize's data protection/information security policies and procedures.

Requirements

Proven facility management experience (minimum 3-5 years), ideally within a fast-paced corporate, logistics, or technology environment.

Good working knowledge of UK Health & Safety and building regulations.

Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

Good understanding of building systems, compliance requirements, and contractor management.

Budget and cost control experience.

Experience using facilities management software or systems (e.g., CAFM or CMMS tools).

Problem-solving mindset and ability to handle urgent and complex issues.

Trade qualifications and background preferrable.
