Job summary

Our client, a pioneering engineering consultancy, is seeking a Site Services Manager to join their team in Great Chesterford, Essex. This permanent role maintains, repairs, and supports all site facilities, utilities, and services, ensuring smooth and safe operation of the site.

Key responsibilities include managing reactive and preventive maintenance, coordinating with contractors, overseeing the site budget and purchasing, and ensuring H&S, building and fire regulations compliance.

Qualifications

• Qualified electrician with extensive maintenance and installation experience.
• Significant site management experience.
• Knowledge of building services systems (HVAC, heating, water treatment, fire safety).
• Strong line management and communication skills.
• Proactive hands-on approach with problem-solving mindset.
• Solid administrative skills.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing reactive and preventive maintenance to minimise downtime.
• Liaising with contractors and overseeing improvement projects.
• Supporting operational teams by ensuring site facilities function effectively.
• Managing the Site Services budget and related purchasing.
• Ensuring compliance with H&S, building and fire regulations.
• Handling diverse maintenance and installation projects across building services systems.
• Maintaining precise site records and administrative duties.
