Here at ISS, one of the UK's largest and most successful facilities management (FM) providers, we are now looking to recruit two Project Engineers to join their client's corporate banking campus facility outside Edinburgh.

This is a large, multi-site facility, classified as a critical environment used by senior client stakeholders.

Due to a recent contract extension, there is a new scope of work for project engineering delivery.

The projects will focus on M&E, including fan coil replacements, chiller replacements, BMS upgrades, etc.

These are exciting new roles, best suited for confident engineers familiar with critical sites, looking to take a step towards leadership or more technical roles.

The position will involve some hands-on work, but there will be an emphasis on supervising subcontractors and completing paperwork.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing project delivery assistance duties to ensure smooth execution.
  • Liaising with operations to coordinate BAU and project activities, avoiding clashes.
  • Ensuring the full implementation of Safe Systems of Work.
  • Reviewing method statements and risk assessments via the P2W system.
  • Project delivery and implementation.
  • Handover and warranty management.
  • Ensuring all work meets employer, client, and trade standards.
  • Supporting the Technical Project Manager in project implementation and technical support.
  • Liaising with clients on change control, planning, opportunities, risks, and documentation.
  • Establishing consistent practices and standards in line with engineering and project governance, including planning, reporting, change control, risk analysis, and updating the risk register.
  • Providing project management support and addressing in-service issues.
  • Maintaining the project delivery roadmap.
  • Overall planning of project delivery with inputs from all workstreams.

Requirements:

  • Ideally, an electrical background with solid experience in critical facility maintenance.
