Facilities Project Engineer

Location: Filton

About the Role:

We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Facilities Project Engineer to join our team in Filton. In this role, you will take ownership of multiple medium to large-scale facilities projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. You will work closely with a variety of stakeholders to provide best-value solutions, maintain compliance, and support our high-performance environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of concurrent facilities projects, from planning to handover
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align project outcomes with business objectives
  • Develop project scopes, cost estimates, and quotations
  • Oversee the tendering process, contractor selection, and performance management
  • Ensure regulatory compliance, including RAMS, CDM, and PTW procedures
  • Manage and track project budgets effectively
  • Coordinate the full project lifecycle, from customer requirements to completion
  • Communicate proactively with stakeholders, ensuring clear updates and expectations
  • Compile final project documentation, including ‘as-built’ drawings and records
  • Adhere to internal policies, processes, and governance throughout project delivery

What You’ll Bring:

Essential:

  • Proven experience in project management within a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Working knowledge of CDM regulations
  • Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems/services
  • Excellent planning and risk mitigation skills
  • Commercial and contractual awareness
  • Solid grasp of building infrastructure and facilities management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)

Desirable:

  • HNC/HND (or equivalent) in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • IOSH or NEBOSH Health & Safety certification
