Job summary

CBRE Local UK is seeking a skilled Plumber to maintain and repair plumbing, medical gas, and distribution systems across a facility. This role focuses on preventive maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting in line with safety and HSE policies.

You will install water systems from blueprints, perform inspections on backflow devices, mentor staff, and respond to emergencies, ensuring reliable operations and compliance with relevant codes in the UK.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 4–5 years of plumbing experience.
• Journeyman plumbing certification and medical gas/backflow certifications preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Experience supervising or managing shift operations.

Responsibilities

• Repair, install, test, and troubleshoot water and medical gas systems.
• Install new water systems, piping, and fixtures by blueprints and codes.
• Ensure waste and vent lines operate properly.
• Assist other staff on projects or equipment installations.
• Complete plumbing safety inspections on backflow devices.
• Provide training for light plumbing maintenance and repair.
• Respond to emergency situations and follow HSE procedures.
• Report conditions that could cause accidents or injuries.
