Job Description

Location: We operate a flexible, hybrid working environment with the candidate required to travel to either our Winchester or London office once or twice a week.

Accountabilities

  • Manage internal/external resourcing, tools and capabilities required for the planning and execution of facilities operations
  • Manage vendor relationships and oversee third-party services, ensuring high performance and value for money
  • Manage expenditure within facilities budgets, ensuring effective cost control and accurate financial planning
  • Manage legal compliance with health and safety documentation, statutory regulations and standards across Arqiva portfolio of sites
  • Address and resolve facilities related issues and incidents
  • Maintain detailed records of facilities activities and performance
  • Promote a culture of excellence, continuous improvement and learning driven from KPI’s
  • Provide operational support to project teams in the detailed delivery of all major Capital Projects • Manage self & task: role model Arqiva’s culture goals with the team, building respect and credibility; set a high-performance bar and challenge the team to deliver sustainable results, by developing the skills and capabilities of the team and focusing on outcomes.
  • Manage relationships & communications: connect, collaborate & lead communication transparently, balancing face to face and virtual, with own team and teams across the business to encourage cross-functional understanding, agreement and knowledge sharing.
  • Innovation and cost savings - drive innovation with our suppliers/partners that will reduce cost base / enhance service levels
  • Continuous Improvement - reporting KPI's, undertaking gap analysis, improvement plans with suppliers to drive enhanced performance levels
  • Supporting the tracking and managing of a departmental risk management process
  • Supporting the setting of Arqiva building strategy, policy and process
  • Conduct and coordinate regular audits, site inspections and maintenance activities to ensure facilities are safe, well-maintained, and compliant with regulations.
  • Develop and implementation of facilities management policies and procedures,
  • Implement and monitor energy management initiatives to achieve sustainability and cost reduction targets.

Skills

  • Budget management - ability to effectively manage project and team budgets.
  • Communication skills - collaborate with cross-functional teams, present technical info and provide training or support
  • Project management - ability to manage one or multiple projects or project tasks and meet deadlines
  • Project planning - Ability to create project schedules, allocate resources, define milestones and track progress
  • Analytical and technical problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues
  • Facilities management - Proficiency in facilities management software and tools
  • Health and safety – Excellent knowledge of health and safety regulations, statutory compliance obligations and best practices
  • Leadership and Management - management proficiency in influencing, analysis, decision making, empathy, communications, and adaptability
  • Time Management - ability to manage time effectively and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment
