Facilities Operative - Malton

Hours - 37.5 hours covering Monday to Sunday, 6am-8pm shift pattern

Base - Malton

Are you looking for a post based within our York Teaching Hospital Facilities Management Team? Are you a strong team player, kind, friendly and motivated? Then we may have the role for you!

York Teaching Hospital Facilities Management (YTHFM) are looking for an approachable and flexible Facilities Operative to join our team in Malton. Experience is not necessary as full training will be given, but a willingness to learn and develop your skills is essential.

The working pattern for this role is via a rolling rota that covers the hours that the department is operational, 6am-8pm, 7 days a week.

Overtime/additional hours may also be available at times, for those who wish to do this.

Main duties of the job

Duties include:

  • Linen Room - distributing and assisting with deliveries of linen
  • Portering - helping with patient flow and movement of equipment around the hospital
  • Domestic Duties - cleaning wards/departments and serving tea/coffee/food to patients
  • Environment - removing and segregating waste
  • Catering - working in the kitchen alongside the Catering team
