Job Title: Facilities Operative

Equans is seeking a Facilities Operative to join our team at EDF Hunterston, KA23 9QJ, on a permanent basis. This full-time role involves working 37.5 hours per week. The salary offered is £25,000 per annum, along with a benefits package.

Shift Pattern

Monday to Thursday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, and Friday, 8:00 am - 2:00 pm.

Requirements

• CTC clearance is required; ability to pass this clearance is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of hygiene, health, safety, and presentation in all areas inside and outside the station.
• Perform tasks such as driving vehicles for porterage, waste management, forklift operation, Legionella water flushing, respirator fit testing, hosting/fire watching, confined space guarding, waste management, supporting station initiatives, and industrial cleaning.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and COSHH regulations and policies.
• Work collaboratively within the Soft Services Team to meet contract standards and expectations.

Candidate Profile

• Experience in the industrial field is preferred.
• Valid UK driver’s license.
• Ability to follow work instructions.
• Experience with heavy-duty cleaning and COSHH awareness is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided.
• Intermediate knowledge of health and safety requirements.
• Training in EDF/EQUANS standards is required.
