Qualifications

Facilities Officer

Wirral Metropolitan College is looking for a Facilities Officer to join our Facilities Team. This is a full-time, permanent role offering 35 hours per week and a salary of up to £25,406 per annum.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Repair, renew, and alter building fabric, including applying standard wall coverings and paint materials to walls, ceilings, and woodwork.
• Carry out repairs to furnishings and fittings throughout the College premises.
• Perform general routine maintenance as requested by the Facilities Manager.
• Implement security procedures for college buildings and grounds, including checking and securing windows and doors internally and externally.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Hold a Level 2 trade qualification and/or demonstrate relevant experience in building maintenance, painting, plumbing, joinery, or similar.
• Possess a First Aid Certificate or be willing to obtain one within 6 months of appointment, maintaining renewal as required.
• Be familiar with routine procedures for testing fire equipment.
• Be familiar with emergency procedures.
