Facilities Officer

Wirral Metropolitan College is looking for a Facilities Officer to join our Facilities Team. This is a full-time, permanent role, working 35 hours per week, with a salary of up to £25,406 per annum.

Key Responsibilities include:

1. Repair, renew, and alter building fabric, including applying standard wall coverings and paint materials to walls, ceilings, and woodwork.
2. Carry out repairs to furnishings and fittings throughout the college premises.
3. Perform general routine maintenance as requested by the Facilities Manager.
4. Implement security procedures for college buildings and grounds, including checking and securing windows and doors internally and externally.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Level 2 trade qualification or relevant experience in building and maintenance (painting, plumbing, joinery, etc.).
• First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain within 6 months of appointment, with renewal as required.
• Familiarity with testing procedures for fire equipment.
• Knowledge of emergency procedures.
