Job summary

Lewisham College, part of NCG, in partnership with The Supply Register, is seeking a reliable Facilities Officer/Caretaker to join the team and help maintain a busy educational site. The role includes opening and securing the campus, performing basic maintenance, and setting up rooms for events.

Flexible, rotating hours are offered to suit a busy college environment. The ideal candidate will be practical, independent and capable of prioritising health and safety while keeping facilities clean

Qualifications

• Basic maintenance and handyman skills expected.
• Reliable, flexible and able to work independently.
• Proactive approach to health and safety.
• Excellent organisational skills with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Open and secure the college campus (key holding duties).
• Carry out reactive maintenance and minor repairs.
• Carrying out basic handyman tasks including plumbing and carpentry.
• Set up rooms and furniture for college events.
• Complete regular housekeeping, operational and health & safety checks.
• Assist with occasional grounds maintenance duties.
