Facilities Manager
Location: HMP site near Stratford Upon Avon
Salary: Up to £50,000 per year
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Overview

We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Facilities Manager to join our on-site team at an HMP site near Stratford Upon Avon. This permanent role provides long-term stability, a competitive salary, and career development opportunities.

As part of our facilities management team supporting His Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS), you’ll ensure planned and reactive maintenance is carried out safely, compliantly, and efficiently across the estate.

Key Responsibilities
  • Achieve and maintain statutory and mandatory compliance across the site
  • Identify hazards and complete suitable risk assessments to eliminate or reduce risk
  • Ensure all staff comply with health and safety policies
  • Oversee the day-to-day operation and strategic management of the estate/building
  • Conduct audits and spot checks to ensure service quality by employees and sub-contractors
  • Monitor KPIs and ensure staff understand their role in service delivery
  • Perform first-line management duties, including disciplinary and employment processes
  • Update the Environmental Management System and support local and business zero carbon programmes
  • Generate revenue through additional works and monitor the site P&L
What You’ll Need – Essential
  • Recognised technical or facilities management qualification
  • Strong knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and implementation
  • Experience with statutory and mandatory compliance and external audits
  • Knowledge of service delivery standards and KPIs
  • Experience in budgeting and cost management
  • First-line management experience
  • Excellent customer relationship management skills
  • Clear and sensitive communication, particularly in technical contexts
Desirable
  • Previous experience in a secure or high-compliance environment
Prison security clearance is required
