Job summary

Berry Recruitment is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to join a busy team in the Knaresborough area. The role is a 3-month contract with possibility to be extended. Salary £24.62 per hour, paid weekly.

• Experience in Facilities Management or Building Services Management.
• Experience managing contractors and coordinating maintenance activities.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and environmental compliance.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload.
• Experience using Microsoft Office and CMMS/asset management systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail and accurate record keeping.
• Ability to build relationships with operational teams and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day facilities operation across the site, ensuring buildings, grounds and infrastructure are maintained to a high standard.
• Coordinate planned and reactive facilities maintenance and ensure records are accurate and up to date within our CMMS.
• Manage and coordinate service contracts including cleaning, pest control, waste collection, PPE and other site support services.
• Oversee site assets including access control systems, two-way radios, gas monitors, respiratory protective equipment (RPE), lockers and security passes.
• Coordinate statutory inspections and compliance activities, including Legionella management, surface water sampling, weather station inspections and site meter monitoring.
• Support the effective management of site security and facilities systems, including CCTV, fire alarms, automatic gates, intruder alarms and visitor centre facilities.

Day to Day

What we looking for ?

• Previous experience in Facilities Management or Building Services Management.
• Experience managing contractors and coordinating maintenance or facilities-related activities.
• A good understanding of Health & Safety legislation and environmental compliance.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to quickly prioritise a varied workload.
• Experience using Microsoft Office and computerised maintenance or asset management systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate record keeping.
• The confidence to build effective working relationships quickly with operational teams, colleagues and external contractors.
