About the Role

As a Facilities Manager, you will support non-core engineering and facilities services by delivering a professional service to the Customers’ Site Managers, Engineering Teams, and other stakeholders as needed. Your primary responsibilities will include ensuring the effective delivery of safe, compliant, and reliable site facilities, services, and infrastructure. This also includes managing any reactive maintenance and small projects as required. This position is site-based, Monday to Friday.

Specifically, your key responsibilities will include:

1. Effective Management - Manage all aspects of the FM contract, ensuring all work on site is undertaken safely and to the required standard in a timely manner.
2. Facilities Oversight - Support from a technical basis where required on all infrastructure and utilities system maintenance.
3. Team Development - Encourage skill-building and improved maintenance practices.
4. PPM Improvement - Enhance Planned Preventative Maintenance processes.
5. CMMS Enhancement - Recommend and implement CMMS improvements.
6. Maintenance Scheduling - Plan and manage maintenance tasks, keeping CMMS updated.
7. Problem-Solving - Conduct root cause analysis for better efficiency and safety.
8. Compliance Assurance - Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards.
9. On-Call Availability - Respond to site emergencies.
10. Health and Safety Adherence - Follow established health and safety procedures.
11. Communication - Maintain clear communication with clients and team.
12. Subcontractor Management - Oversee subcontractors and service providers.
13. Stakeholder Engagement - Work with clients to prioritize needs.
14. Monthly Reporting - Prepare reports and lead performance review meetings.
15. Manage and own day-to-day maintenance, minor projects and energy savings.
16. Financial Management - Oversee site budgets and forecasting.
17. Contract Collaboration - Work with clients to meet contract goals and explore new opportunities.

About you

We would like to hear from you if you have:

1. Proven experience in contract and technical management for engineering and hard services contracts.
2. Skilled in managing planned and reactive work order management systems across multiple sites.
3. Experience in managing energy savings initiatives.
4. Proficient in contractor management, as well as commercial and compliance/site monitoring.
5. Background in the food manufacturing or distribution industry.
6. Experience in managing engineering personnel.
7. Strong client relationship skills with a proven track record in direct client interactions.
8. Capable of motivating and leading teams, setting a positive example.
9. Experienced in identifying, costing, quoting, and executing additional minor works.
