Job description

Facilities Management Trainer

A permanent facilities management trainer is required by an established Further Education Training Provider.

They are looking for someone to look after a caseload of (circa 30) apprentices from level 2 up to level 4 in facilities management.

The suitable candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality training to apprentices and full-cost learners across various aspects of facilities management, including health and safety, building maintenance, energy management, and sustainability.

Desirable Criteria:

  1. A minimum of Level 4 qualification in Facilities Management or a related field.
  2. A proven track record of working within facilities management.
  3. Previous experience in delivering apprenticeship training or teaching/training adult learners, ideally with experience in both online and face-to-face delivery.
  4. Strong knowledge of facilities management principles, including health and safety, sustainability, and building maintenance.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  6. Ability to assess and provide feedback effectively in both virtual and classroom environments.

It is a hybrid role with the majority of delivery being remote online sessions. Occasional travel for face-to-face observations will be expected as and when required (with the main hotspots for this being Birmingham and Nottingham).
