Job description

Here at UPP, we currently have an exciting opportunity for a Front of House Assistant to join our team.

The Front of House Assistant will be responsible for operating the Reception Desk and a computerized system that monitors helpdesk activities for reactive and planned maintenance work.

This is a permanent, part-time position working 20 hours per week from 3pm to 7pm, Monday to Friday. The salary is £13,148.54 per annum.

Role responsibilities include:

  • Providing excellent reception services to residents and office staff, including keeping records of visitors, contractors, and issuing keys as required
  • Assisting managers with on-site activities, daily administration, and regular reporting
  • Conducting regular walks of the residence and grounds to monitor security and safety issues, reporting any concerns
  • Monitoring student conduct, encouraging appropriate behavior, and reporting breaches of the Code of Conduct and license agreement
  • Managing out-of-hours access to the residence, ensuring compliance with fire, health & safety procedures, and residence instructions
  • Coordinating with UPP staff, university clients, subcontractors, residents, and conference delegates as needed
