Job summary

A leading apparel distribution business in Deeside is seeking a Facilities Technician to join their maintenance team. In this role, you will perform essential maintenance tasks, troubleshoot equipment, and ensure compliance with site standards. You will work a flexible shift pattern that includes day shifts and a rotating morning and evening schedule.

Qualifications

  • Experience in maintenance is required.
  • Ideally experience with Conveyor Belts, PLC's, and Hydraulic and Pneumatics.
  • Previous experience within car mechanics will also be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to maintenance emergencies and troubleshoot issues.

Job description

Our client is a leading apparel distribution business based in Deeside. They are looking for a Facilities Technician to work within a team to carry out maintenance activities for the upkeep of buildings, equipment and vehicles.

Key duties:

  • Follow maintenance schedules as outlined and make repairs and adjustments
  • Troubleshoot by consulting blueprints, schematics, and other sources as necessary
  • Respond to company's maintenance emergency needs and emergency calls for maintenance
  • Reduce/minimize machine downtime to achieve performance measures
  • Perform troubleshooting to solve minor repair issues
  • Report breakdowns for FLT fleet, including the new VOR process, liaise with Jungheinrich to ensure all servicing is carried out as per service schedule.
  • Maintain key records for site compliance such as Waste consignment notes.
  • Carry out Racking inspections as per SESS training.

Core Competencies

  • Knowledge of maintenance procedures, and the ability to troubleshoot
  • Ideally experience working with Conveyor Belts, PLC's and Hydraulic and Pneumatics however this is not essential
  • Ability to lift heavy loads, physical agility, manual dexterity,
  • Experience in maintenance is required,
  • A mechanical engineering qualification is preferred
  • Someone with previous experience within car mechanics will also be considered

Whilst training you will work a day shift, this will then move to a 6am - 2.30pm - 2pm - 10.30pm 1 week on/off rota.
