We are looking for a Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team in Nottingham.
We are looking for a Facilities Maintenance Technician for the Facilities Management department at Albumedix, now a part of Sartorius. In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance of facilities performing hands – on maintenance tasks, routine inspections, liaising with contractors and third parties whilst ensuring safety and regulatory standards are met.
The team consists of 4 professionals, and we are looking forward to shaping the future with you.
You will be working Monday to Friday 8am – 4pm.
This position is available full – time on a permanent basis and you will be working Monday to Friday 8am – 4pm. This role is based on site in Central Nottingham and the site is easy to get to, being only a short walk from the train station and tram stop.
Grow With Us – Your Responsibilities
- On a daily basis you will perform basic maintenance and repairs across production, laboratory, office areas as well as landscaping
- Carrying out regular compliance checks on legionella water flushing and associated documentation (L8 compliance), weekly and monthly inspections (eg.: fire extinguishers, meter readings, pre – audit walkarounds, emergency exits), inspections related to LOLER and pressure systems regulations
- Managing contractor activities such as contractor inductions and routine safety audits, review contractor RAMS (risk assessments and method statements) to ensure safe systems of work are in place before activities commence
- Liaising with service providers for maintenance and facility support (CCTV, fire and security systems, pest control, access control etc.)
- Maintaining housekeeping standards across the facility, including routine checks of common areas and external grounds
- Assisting with health, safety and environmental compliance
- Managing site waste process, including metal and electrical waste coordination
- Supporting the ordering and fitting of equipment labels, tags and other facility signage
- Ensuring all activities are documented accurately to support regulatory, insurance and audit compliance
- Taking part in internal facility management improvement projects
- Working cross functionally with various departments ad build strong relationships with team members
What Will Convince Us
- Hands – on maintenance experience in a dynamic environment (trade experience in plumbing, joiner etc. would be beneficial) (Training will be provided)
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
- Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills, the ability to say “No” when necessary
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Words, Outlook, Excel)
- Ability to perform manual handling, working at height, restricted access and confined spaces
- Ability to follow correct procedures and quality standards
- Proactiveness and ability to use own initiative
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
