Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Plan and sequence maintenance tasks to optimize production flow.
  • Inspect, repair, and upgrade building infrastructure and assets.
  • Coordinate third-party repairs and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Complete all required documentation within the QMS system.

Skills

Practical skills using hand and power tools

Full UK driving licence

Education

NVQ Level 3 in Building Services or equivalent
City & Guilds in Electrical Installation or equivalent
2–5 years’ experience in facilities maintenance

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to ensure the operational efficiency and safety of our manufacturing sites in Great Yarmouth. This hands-on role involves maintenance, inspection, and repair of critical building services, utilities, and infrastructure. You will play a key role in compliance with UK health, safety, and environmental regulations while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and sequence maintenance tasks to optimize production flow
  • Inspect, repair, and upgrade building infrastructure and assets
  • Maintain site safety, including external areas and winter conditions management
  • Coordinate third-party repairs and perform safety inductions
  • Ensure compliance with Lockout/Tagout procedures and safety standards
  • Monitor stock levels of critical components and equipment
  • Complete all required documentation within the QMS system
  • Support team discussions, continuous improvement, and KPI maintenance
  • Travel between local sites as necessary

Qualifications & Skills

  • Full UK driving licence
  • NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds in Building Services, Electrical Installation, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent
  • Valid or willingness to obtain MEWP and FLT licences
  • 2–5 years’ experience in a manufacturing or industrial facilities maintenance role
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
  • Strong practical skills using hand and power tools
