Job description

Pertemps Recruitment is hiring for a Maintenance Technician on behalf of our client in Bath, BA2.

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for statutory compliance for the building, managing large external waste bins, and ensuring the building is a safe, welcoming environment.

Pay: £12.21 per hour
Hours: Flexible 08:00 – 16:00, 2-3 days a week (approximately 30 hours)

Location: Central Bath
Contract: Temporary, 4-week contract
Start: ASAP

You will inspect and prepare rooms to ensure safety and functionality for residents.

Typical tasks include:

  1. Fixing handles, locks, and other wear-and-tear items
  2. Replacing lightbulbs and performing basic electrical repairs
  3. Carrying out minor plumbing jobs (e.g., taps, leaks, unblocking drains, replacing shower doors)
  4. Repairing furniture, fittings, and fixtures
  5. Painting touch-ups and minor decorating
  6. Checking appliances and reporting faults
  7. Ensuring rooms meet health & safety standards
  8. Responding promptly to maintenance requests from site leaders
  9. Supporting the wider team to prepare rooms and facilities for the new academic year

Requirements:
