Salary: £27.21/hr INSIDE IR35

About the Company

I am currently recruiting on behalf of a Luxury Automotive OEM, based in Whitley, who are seeking a Facilities/Maintenance Tech Engineer to join their team.

Position Description

This role sits within the Cross Functional Test Facilities Team, part of Engineering Operations (EO). The team provides facilities support to the Test Operations team, aiming to achieve timely, quality product releases through supporting the overall Product cycle plan.

In this role, you will work across various sites (Whitley, Gaydon, Ansty Park, Lyons Park), supporting EO activities under EO-10026 for our client. Your primary responsibility is to ensure the safe, smooth, efficient, and effective operation of the EO Test Facilities used for Product Development. You will demonstrate safe working practices in line with the company's Destination Zero policies and understand your responsibilities towards safety in the workplace.

Skills and Experience Required
  • A Level 4 qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, or relevant experience.
  • Proven experience and understanding of facilities, processes, equipment, and leading technologies (e.g., control systems problem solving).
  • Proactive attitude and willingness to learn new systems and processes.
Additional Requirements
  • Functional Skills Level 2 or equivalent in English, Maths, and Science.
  • Experience with test facilities and control systems for AVL, ABB, and Horiba.
  • Knowledge of fuels and standards such as IATF 16949 or ISO 9001.
  • Problem-solving qualification.
  • Knowledge of health and safety requirements, risk assessments, COSHH, SDS, fluid controls, ventilation systems, chilled fluids.
  • Full UK driving license.
