Essex & Kent Police is seeking a full-time Facilities and Logistics Assistant at Folkestone Police Station. The role involves a variety of facilities services, including maintenance, office moves, and security. Ideal candidates will have strong communication skills and a proactive attitude. An exciting opportunity has become available for a full-time Facilities and Logistics Assistant based at Folkestone Police Station. This role involves working as part of a team providing a range of facilities services, including:
You should be self-motivated with a flexible approach. The role follows a simple shift system to ensure coverage during core hours (0800-1600, Monday to Friday), allowing timely response to service calls and maintaining high customer satisfaction. Work will involve using various channels including bespoke computer programs, MS Word, Excel, Service Manager HornBill, and Outlook.
Experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential, as no two days are the same. A proactive, can-do attitude, with common sense and clear thinking, is essential.
The role involves some lifting duties; therefore, physical capability is required. Knowledge of Health & Safety policies is desirable, but training will be provided.
The position is based at Folkestone Police Station but requires a Full UK driving license to support team visits across locations and wider facilities duties.
