Salary: £50,000-60,000 + Pension, Development Allowance, Medical & other benefits

Location: UK - Bristol, Stokenchurch, or Bournemouth

Type: Full Time Hybrid (flexible work from home options)

The Facilities, Health and Safety Manager will oversee health, safety, and facilities functions across multiple locations, including managing maintenance and ensuring compliance with workplace health & safety regulations. This role reports to the Head of Business Operations and Assurance.

Key Responsibilities:
Health and Safety Management & Compliance:
  • Maintain and coordinate the Nova Systems Health and Safety Management System.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations across all facilities.
  • Conduct inspections and audits to identify hazards.
  • Monitor incident reports, investigate, and implement corrective actions.
  • Facilitate health and safety training for employees.
  • Monitor safety performance and promote safety culture.
  • Maintain health and safety policies and procedures.
Facilities Management:
  • Oversee daily operations of UK facilities, including maintenance and renovations.
  • Support international facilities as needed.
  • Manage vendors and contractors.
  • Develop site management programs and conduct space planning.
  • Control budgets and optimize space utilization.
  • Identify energy efficiency and sustainability opportunities.
Budget Management:
  • Manage budgets for maintenance and operations.
  • Monitor expenses and seek cost savings.
  • Coordinate office moves and renovations.
Environmental Sustainability:
  • Implement initiatives to reduce environmental impact.
  • Identify opportunities for energy and waste reduction.
General:
  • Stay updated on regulations and standards.
  • Prepare reports for senior management.
  • Coordinate inspections and audits.
  • Maintain SharePoint and data integrity.
  • Supervise Office Coordinator and collaborate across teams.

  • Promote safety culture and continuous improvement.
Key Relationships:

This role collaborates with aviation safety experts, department heads, and business unit leads, managing client relationships and service delivery.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in Facilities and Health & Safety Management.
  • Professional certifications (NEBOSH, IOSH).
  • Knowledge of safety regulations, building codes, environmental standards.
  • Proactive attitude, energy, and passion.
  • Business acumen and commercial awareness.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK and security clearance.
  • Ability to travel within the UK and overseas.
  • Experience in aviation, production, maintenance, or aerospace environments.
  • IT proficiency with Microsoft Office and planning tools.
