Job Description:

I am working with a client who is seeking an experienced and results-driven Engineering Manager to oversee the management and operation of their facilities at Felixstowe, with a specific focus on the coordination and administration of a subcontracted material handling equipment (MHE) contract. This important role will ensure the safe and efficient function of the facilities MHE equipment.

The Engineering Manager will report directly to the Group Facilities Manager and will be supported by the Group Engineering functions. This role will require effective collaboration across multiple teams to drive performance improvements, manage resources, and resolve technical challenges in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Knowledge, Experience & Skills:

  1. Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering or facilities management, with at least 2 years in a contract management or operations role.
  2. Proven experience managing subcontracted services, ideally in material handling, manufacturing, or logistics environments.
  3. Experience with budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting.
  4. Strong background in safety and compliance in a facilities or industrial setting.
