Job summary

Wagstaff Recruitment is recruiting a proactive Facilities Engineer for a well-established manufacturing site in Sutton Coldfield. You will manage facilities, infrastructure, safety systems, and compliance, driving improvements across the site.

In this permanent role, you’ll work Monday to Friday, 7:30am–4:00pm, with a salary of £40,000–£45,000. You’ll collaborate with contractors and operations teams to keep the plant safe, compliant, and efficient.

Qualifications

• Experience in facilities/maintenance/plant engineering or similar role.
• Background in manufacturing, production or industrial environments.
• Knowledge of health and safety legislation, fire safety, and compliance.
• Strong organisation and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication with contractors and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Maintain site facilities, infrastructure, and building services.
• Coordinate external contractors and oversee maintenance work.
• Support health and safety initiatives and fire safety systems.
• Ensure compliance with site regulations and standards.
• Maintain security systems and asset protection measures.
• Drive facility upgrades and continuous improvement projects.
• Manage documentation and audit-ready records.
• Collaborate with operations to identify efficiency gains.
