Job description

Facilities Services Engineer - Edinburgh City Center - Salary up to £40,000

CBW have a new opportunity for an electrically biased engineer to join a leading facilities provider, covering a large commercial site in Edinburgh City Center.


Key Responsibilities:
  1. Carry out Planned Maintenance as required on HVAC, Electrical, and Life Safety Systems (Some Building Fabric Maintenance and Repair may be required.)
  2. Carry out and complete reactive works in a prompt and effective manner.
  3. Adhere to all aspects of H&S compliance, always ensuring safe working practices.
  4. Monitor and respond to site BMS systems.
  5. Ensure accurate stock control and reporting.
  6. Take part in on-call rota (Pool van provided).

Person Specification:
  1. Full driving licence required.
  2. Formal Apprenticeship and formal trade qualifications in a technical field (Electrical Bias preferred).
  3. At least 3 years post Apprenticeship experience.
  4. Experience of large-scale mechanical and electrical plant associated with a modern large-scale commercial space.
  5. Experience within HVAC Plant, UPS Systems, LTHW & Chilled Water Systems, Low Voltage Distribution networks, Building Management Systems, Control Legionella in water systems (L8).
  6. Customer and client facing experience.
  7. Qualified to 18th Edition.
