Facilities Coordinator – North-West Wales

Location: Bangor (with travel to sites across North-West Wales)

Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week, Monday-Friday

Contract: Temporary until 31st March 2026

Pay rate: £16.91 p/hr

About the Role:

We’re looking for a proactive and organised Facilities Coordinator to join our clients Operations Facilities Team, based in Bangor and covering 22 diverse sites across North-West Wales. These include offices, depots, and visitor centres. You’ll be the central point of contact for a team of six, acting as the buffer between site staff and the Facilities Manager, ensuring that health and safety standards are upheld and that facilities operations run smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and monitor site activities across the region, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
  • Lead on health and safety audits, including weekly fire safety checks by assistants and thorough six-monthly site inspections.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure a clean audit trail for all facilities-related activities.
  • Attend meetings to provide updates on audits and site conditions.
  • Support the development and implementation of a programme of works.
  • Identify and assess risks, ensuring a safe working environment for staff, contractors, and visitors.
  • Provide excellent frontline customer service and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Liaise with contractors and bring fresh ideas to improve ways of working.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong background in health and safety management, with excellent knowledge of the Health and Safety at Work Act.
  • Experience coordinating work within a facilities environment.
  • Familiarity with finance systems and other relevant software/applications.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Organised and proactive, with the ability to respond reactively when needed.
